Residential | Multi-Family | Commercial & Athletic
Architects, Designers, Builders, and Home Owners all recognize that a good project begins with a well concieved plan. The needs and desires of the client should be fully realized, and their everyday lifestyle should be enhanced by the design.
…but what makes exceptional residential architecture?
At RLC Design we believe five key elements, when explored and designed to
their fullest, create an exceptional project. Examples of our work give
a visual interpretation of such elements.
Site Adaptation
Anchors the structure to its environment and utilizes the site to its fullest. The residence is part of the landscape and not merely placed on the parcel of land.
Sense of Arrival
Often this is the first vertical element that greets a home owner or visitor. It can be a well scaled entry piece, landscape elements, or most effectively a combination of the two.
Style
Simply the feel and the look of a particular residence. A few examples include French Country, Mediterranean, Tudor, Colorado Lodge, Craftsman, or Shingle Style.
Details
This element bring a “human scale” to a project. It can include built-in cabinetry, decorative exterior corbels, or a hand carved detail found on a stair newel post. No project is complete without these and they often identify the house to the owner.
Interiors
Just a few items to consider might be how the natural light floods a particular space, or how furniture can be placed in a room. How do we want to “live” inside a particular space?
Success with regard to multifamily design can only be obtained through experience.
RLC Design has provided owners and developers with innovative unit design plus the technical knowledge required to complete such projects as Millstone at Clear Creek (Golden, CO), Shade in North Las Vegas, and Ashcroft Heights (Greeley, CO).
A community isn’t complete without park and recreaction facilities providing local residences a place to play, exercise, and even relax.
Broomfield Commons Park, The Casper Rockies Single A Baseball facility, and Salisbury Equestrian Park are a few examples of the work we’ve been fortunate to be a part of.
Founded in 1996, RLC Design Inc. is a full service architectural firm primarily focused on residential design. Our clients range from indiviual home owners, to custom builders, to large development companies. We are also proud of our work and design experience with respect to small and medium sized commercial / recreation facilities.
Regardless of the project type or client, we strive to provide uncompromised attention to each and every client. A client will not be shuffled from firm princpal, to project manager, and finally to a project assistant. Instead we give consistent design and construction administration service throughout the lifetime of the project. Our ultimate goal is to create a project perfectly matched to the individual client and the environment.
